By turning plastic waste into our poo bags, we’re giving materials a second life, helping reduce plastic pollution and contributing to a circular economy.
Processing oysters for food generates millions of tons of shell waste each year, much of which is either returned to the sea or sent to landfill. By using this waste in our poo bags, we create a bio-renewable resin from the natural compounds in powdered oyster shells.
Natural ingredients with nutritional science, to elevate your pet’s health and happiness. 100% transparency, 'nothing to hide' recipes, and ethical sourcing are core to our mission. We're a small (but mighty) team of pet lovers – and if we wouldn’t give it to our own dogs, we don’t make it.
Our Poo Bags ARE NOT biodegradable or compostable, and that's because the best way to ensure that your biodegradable/compostable poo bag actually does what it's supposed to, is to set up a dog waste only composting bin in your garden, which for many people is unrealistic, and most of the time (if you're a good human and responsible dog owner) your poo bags end up in the bin. Biodegradable bags require LOTS of oxygen for breakdown to occur, which is sparse when buried in a mountain of landfill (exactly where your poo bag ends up if you bin it) and in this case, the poo bag remains intact exactly like a plastic bag. Compostable poo bags are made from plant-based ingredients such as vegetable or corn starch, which sounds planet friendly, right? Unless you are planning on starting your own compost heap in the garden, most local authorities cannot accept compostable poo bags with food and garden waste. So what happens to the poop bags? You've guessed it, back in landfill. We have decided to re-use some of the plastic waste that already exists.

We're driving towards a more circular economy and are transparent in our efforts to create a more planet-friendly product. A poo bag made from 100% recycled material is our goal, but until we can do this and provide a bag that you're not going to put your fingers through, we believe that this is the best solution.
Most local authorities do not accept any poo bags in the food and garden waste even when they're biodegradable bags so all bags should go into your household waste bin.
