Who are Woodgreen?
Woodgreen Pets Charity rehomes thousands of pets each year. The Woodgreen team work tirelessly to provide safe shelter and specialist care to a variety of pets. They provide advice and support to owners to help create a brighter future for pets.
Woodgreen are also working hard to reduce the need for owners to rehome pets through education and advice. They offer a variety of remote online learning courses , designed to help all pet owners understand more about the pet they have, or plan to bring into their lives in future.
So whether or not you have rehomed a pet from Woodgreen, you can access a whole host of free advice on how to best prep for, and care for your pet.

Home of The Dog House
Yes that's right. They're the leading pet charity that's home to Channel 4's The Dog House, opening up their centre to the public to see the work their handlers, vets, specialists and volunteers do every day - to give animals another chance at life.
They've helped the show's four-legged stars and gave aid to all the human rock stars who bring the pets back to their old selves.
How are Pooch & Mutt supporting Woodgreen?
As we share a passion for pets and keeping them happy and healthy, it was a no brainer for us to partner with Woodgreen.
We support Woodgreen by donating monthly bags of our Health & Digestion , Calm & Relaxed , Soft & Shiny , Puppy Superfood , and Small Dog Superfood dry foods - as well as our Veterinary Foods (where appropriate), a variety of Wet Food , and of course plenty of Meaty Treats for training and rewards.

Like Woodgreen, we know how important it is for rehomed dogs and owners to have the best toolkit to start their new life together. When you adopt a pet from Woodgreen, you receive a rehoming pack with helpful information and advice.

How we’ve helped Woodgreen so far
We’re so proud of all the work we’ve been doing with Woodgreen Pets Charity and wanted to share the impact of our helping paw and the generous donations from our amazing customers. In the two years we’ve been working with Woodgreen:
Our lovely Pooch & Mutt customers have donated a whopping £22,946.89 to Woodgreen, through adding a donation to their order, or via their Pooch Rewards.
We’ve personally donated over 13,000kg of dry food to the dogs in Woodgreen’s care. We understand the impact a healthy diet has on their well-being, especially during times of uncertainty.
We’ve also donated over 15,000 packs of tasty Pooch & Mutt treats - ‘cause all dogs deserve a delicious pick-me-up!
We’ve provided food for 80% of dogs in their care, with the only exception being pooches that require a specialised diet for more complex health issues and conditions.
Since July 2025, we now supply the Dog's Section at Woodgreen with Wet Food, alongside Dry Food and Treats.
We're proud to now also support Woodgreen with the work they do in the community, supporting Food Banks with Dry and Wet food donations too.

As pooch nutrition experts, we’re delighted to be helping dogs and pups that need it most, and we love to encourage our Pooch customers and fellow dog lovers to do the same!
It’s in our DNA to provide healthy, good mood food to thousands of dogs across the UK, and nobody deserves it more than the pooches in Woodgreen’s care. A huge thank you goes to our valued customers for everything they’ve donated so far!
