STEP 1: ACTIVATE YOUR KIT Head to poochandmutt.com/activate and fill in your dog’s profile.
STEP 2: ADD YOUR CODE Grab that 6-digit activation code from your email, and write it on the box and the sample tube.
STEP 3: COLLECT THE SAMPLE Time for a walk! Collect your dog’s stool sample. Not sure how? Scan the QR code for a quick guide.
STEP 4: SEAL THE SAMPLE Pop the tube into the transport bag and seal it up tight.
STEP 5: PACK IT UP Slide the bag back into the box and seal it shut with the adhesive strip.
STEP 6: LABEL & POST Stick the return label on the bottom, drop it in a postbox, and send within 3 days.

Once you've followed our step-by-step instructions, successfully filled in your activation quiz, and collected a poop sample from your dog - make sure it's tightly sealed and placed within the specimen bag with the absorbent pad. Then, stick the returns label on the test kit box, place your sample inside, seal everything up and pop it in your nearest postbox! Yes! To be suffering from gut imbalance or to have issues with their gut health, dogs don't have to be displaying clear symptoms. Since there are so many environmental factors that can impact the balance of their microbiome diversity, and the fact that it just naturally declines with age, it's never safe to assume that your dog's microbiome and gut health are functioning at 100%. It is recommended to retest in the future so that we can see how our recommendations have affected your dog’s microbiome. Frequency of retesting will depend on the health of your dog and their microbiome. If your dog is generally healthy, then retests will be less frequent. We usually recommend testing every 6 months to monitor their progress. If they have an active disease process, particularly a gastrointestinal disease, then we will recommend more frequent retests until we have things back under control with a healthier biome.
We aim to get your results back to you 3-4 weeks after we have received your dogs sample. After this time you'll receive a full report to your email with a supplement plan for your dog and a detailed breakdown of the results.
